A raffle/draw is now starting to take shape. The income will go towards Nationals costs as well as a donation being made to the Mounts Bay branch of the Tall Ships Youth Trust.
Prizes pledged to the cause so far include:
- * A wetsuit and other dinghy wear from Gul,
- * 2x day return tickets to the Isles of Scilly from the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company,
- * 2x surfing lessons from Global Boarders,
- * 2x tickets to watch the Cornish Pirates National Championship rugby team (home fixture),
- * £20 of gift cards from Tesco Plc,
- * A kettle from Currys....
and the list continues to expand.
We are keen to now try to progress sales of tickets, but acknowledge the geographical constraints. There should be a reasonable contingent from Mounts Bay SC at the Poole Open in June, at which you will be able to make purchases. In addition, if you would like to reply to the Forum thread and identify and pledge the number of tickets you want to purchase, it will allow us to monitor potential income and ascertain how best to utilise the income. All payments for tickets must be received in full before the draw takes place at 8pm on 25th July at MBSC.
We have revised the ticket price to £2.50 each, but hope that you will want to make multiple purchases.
Many thanks - please be generous!!
(Webmaster Note - have now attached a prize draw poster for download, printing and then posting in your club
)
