Classic Boat Article

Classic Boat magazine have an article on the Osprey. Alan Henderson & Oscar Chess helped them with the article.

Big thank you to Mike Greenland for organising our RYA Dinghy Show Stand and for managing to source Richard and Mark's boat at short notice for our display after the weather locked Shippy down in Devon.

Saturday in the Great hall was cold without heating but this didn't put off the punters, many past and present members made it up to the show. Oscar and Lisa arrived from Wales early which was good news for us because Oscar was able to step in for Ben for the class talk which he did with ease accompanied by David Downs so thank you Oscar.

The Sunday saw a good turnout with a great deal of interest in the Osprey. Both our stand and Hartleys stand had people enquiring about where they could buy both new and second hand boats and in fact some deals were done so we will be seeing some new faces on the circuit this year. HartleyBoats are building 7 Ospreys at the moment with one being built each month. So the future looks bright.

Thank you to Ros and David Downs along with Jonathan Osgood and Mike for manning our stand and to Janet and John for helping on the Hartley stand also to the Sheppey Boys for being at the show assisting and advertising their Round Sheppey race. Finally thank you to all Osprey members who made it up.

All best
Peter Frith, Class Assn Chairman
